PIANO CARE
A few simple habits make a difference.
Pianos respond to use and changing conditions. Here are practical ways to keep yours comfortable to play between service visits.
Plan regular tunings
Most home pianos benefit from tuning once or twice a year. A new instrument, heavy use or a changing environment may call for more frequent attention. Performance instruments often need a different schedule.
Watch the humidity
Seasonal humidity changes affect wood, felt and tuning stability. Keep the piano away from direct heat, strong sunlight and drafts. If conditions vary widely, ask about room humidity management or an instrument-specific system.
Tell me what you notice
Sticking notes, a new buzz, uneven key weight or a pedal that behaves differently are useful clues. A short video or note about when the problem occurs can help me prepare for the visit.
Before your appointment
Clear the top of the piano and make sure I can reach it comfortably. A reasonably quiet room helps me listen closely. You can describe any concerns in the online booking notes.
